This is a short clip from the 8 part CNN series “Chicagoland” Executive Produced by Robert Redford and Created by Marc Levin and Mark Benjamin. It chronicles a year in the city through the lenses of people in various spheres of society, from an ER surgeon, to a principal at a struggling school, to former gang bangers, to Mayor Rahm Emanuel himself.
The production amassed over 1000 hours of documentary footage. A team of 8 editors, two senior producers, and the shows creators collaborated to create the 8 hour documentary series. It was an incredibly creative environment to work in.
